The writer Ton Satomi was involved in designing the house.
The western-style building is built in the style of Frank
Lloyd Wright, while the annex, which is connected to the
western-style building by a covered corridor, is in the
Japanese style with a thatched roof. The annex was used for
tea ceremonies. The house changed hands several times after
Satomi moved out in 1936, and at one point the house
was owned by Mr. Ishikawa and is now owned by a private
company.
