和賀江嶋

Wakae Island

大町/材木座地區

日本現存的最古老築港遺跡。在鎌倉時代，來自日本各地的船隻頻繁的由材木座海岸進入鎌倉，但這裡是不便於裝卸貨物的淺灘，並且還有不少船隻在此失事。有鑑於此，被稱作「往阿彌陀佛」的勸進上人（透過募捐等形式推動寺廟、道路和港灣等的修建或修複之高僧）在北条泰時的協助下以伊豆石等建了這座島。退潮時還可以在這裡戲水。
