Shin-Enoshima Aquarium

Shin-Enoshima Aquarium

No translations[3] to enoshima/fujisawa Area for things-to-do

Facing Sagami Bay, this aquarium boasts a great location with Mt. Fuji on the right and the scenic Enoshima Island on the left. The (old) Enoshima Aquarium, which opened in 1954, had its grand opening as the New Enoshima Aquarium in 2004.
This is an edutainment-type aquarium where you can learn while playing, with the basic themes of “Sagami Bay and the Pacific Ocean,” a treasure trove of marine life, and “living things,” as well as observing creatures and specimens.
In addition to the “Sagami Bay Large Aquarium,” where you can see about 20,000 creatures of 100 different kinds, both large and small, including 8,000 shining silver sardines swimming in undulations, there is also a jellyfish exhibit that makes use of over 60 years of experience in breeding research and exhibition methods, and a dolphin show stadium where you can enjoy animal shows.
