Remains of Omachishakadoguchi

Kanazawa-kaido Area, Omachi / Zaimokuza Area

The Shakadoguchi Kiridoshi Pass that connects Omachi and Jomyoji Temple was created by hollowing out the rock. Because this pass connects two points within Kamakura city, it is not included in Kamakura’s Seven Passes. Old tombs are located above the tunnel. Due to the risk of landslides, the pass is currently closed.

・25 minutes on foot from Kamakura Station
・From the JR Kamakura Station East Exit bus stop, take the bus bound for Midorigaoka Iriguchi and get off at “Nagoshi”. 14 minutes on foot
 
【Jomyoji Exit】
From the JR Kamakura Station East Exit bus stop, take a bus bound for “Kamakura Cemetery/Tachiarai” or similar and get off at “Sugimoto Kannon.” 10 minutes walk.
