Museum of British Antiquities BAM KAMAKURA

Museum of British Antiquities BAM KAMAKURA

Kamakura Sta. Area

The British Museum of Antiques [BAM Kamakura] is a museum that conveys the world of antiques to the next generation and conveys the wonderfulness and importance of inheriting things and people.
The exterior, based on the motif of Kamakura carving by architect Kengo Kuma, has a simple yet innovative design that combines tradition and modernity. Inside the museum, you can view an exhibition of genuine British antiques with over 100 years of history that Mr. Dobashi has collected over the years.
On the floor decorated with Victorian antiques, there is a reproduction of Sherlock Holmes’ room. On the ground floor, a vintage London taxi is on display.
