Kamakura Noh Stage Public Interest Foundation

Yuigahama / Hase / Gokurakuji Area

Noh and Kyogen are traditional Japanese performing arts that have been recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
At the Kamakura Noh Stage, we promote Noh and Kyogen by holding regular performances as part of the “Noh Knowledge Society,” and contribute to the advancement of the culture. The Kamakura Noh Stage, which was completed in 1970, has a small seating capacity of just 180, and is characterized by the close distance to the stage.
In addition to Kamakura, performances are also held at the National Noh Theatre and the Yokohama Noh Theatre.
