Kamakura Central Park

Kamakura Central Park

Kita-Kamakura Area

Kamakura Central Park is a scenic park that takes advantage of the rich natural environment and is positioned as a place for interaction between “people and nature” and “people and people”. A variety of leisure activities and volunteer activities such as agricultural experiences and flower bed making are carried out in the park. A “green consultation office” has been opened and it is also a base for promoting greening as an urban greening botanical garden. In the rice fields and fields that remain in the Satoyama area, activities are continued by civic groups, and while preserving the natural environment, they are also working to pass on the lifestyle and culture that remains in the area.
Flowers bloom in every season, and wild birds such as kingfishers, ducks, and herons fly to the pond. You can enjoy nature observation and leisurely strolls.
The park is also designated as a wide-area evacuation site in the event of a disaster, and has disaster prevention functions.
